This place is incredible, well known the world over. Barry Brickell has built an narrow gauge railway through the replanted kauri forest including spirals and short tunnels, the journey is conservation and art combined.
Arts Tour special - The Art Train.
An extended 2 hour train ride, with stops at interesting art sites, tunnel walk, commentary by Barry Brickell and lunch at the Eyefull Tower.
Engineering and conservation can be just as artful as any other media. See it all by riding our latest innovation, the Art Train. Special commentary by Barry Brickell, the train will stop to view art along the way and you will have the chance to walk through one of the unique railway tunnels, and then have lunch at the Eyefull Tower.
Juice and snacks will be provided, you can bring your own lunch or pre-order a packed cafe lunchbox by calling Driving creek.

Arts Train Schedule
Arrive DCR 11.15a.m. Bookings essential, no later than 9 a.m. on the day.
Train departs 11.30 a.m.
Arrives Eyefull Tower 12.30 – 40 pm. stopping to view sculptures and ceramic murals on the way.
Lunch at Eyefull Tower – juice and biscuits provided, boxed lunch or bring your own.
Depart Eyefull Tower 1.25 p.m. approx.
Arrive base 1.48 p.m. approx.
Tour of sculpture garden and sanctuary approximately 1 hour (optional). There is no charge for the Sanctuary tour but a gentle donation will be most welcome to help its cause.
Fare $40.00
Lunch box $12.50 if wanted
