New Works By Thames Artists
New Works By Thames Artists
Bounty Design Store in Thames invite you to view new works by three Thames Artists:
A'sha Coldicutt Photography, Mixed Media
Kate Ewing Contemporary Jewellery
Serene Woolf Contemporary Jewellery
Serene Woolf
studied jewellery at Santa Rosa Junior College in California for four years. After studying I worked for Becky Kelso Jewellery for four years and then for Gwen Passano Jewellery for six months. After moving to New Zealand I worked on Drugh Gilmer's gold and silver ring line for six months.
In the past six years I have become a mother of two as well as developed my jewellery focusing on natural elements. My line of work is derived from nature. Shells, bark, seeds, etc. mostly native to New Zealand. Natural form and texture is what inspires me. My work is meant to be a reminder of the perfect beauty we see around us everyday.
A'sha Coldicutt
My work is derived from my fetish for the incredible banal and delightfully strange.
A scrounge through an old antique store (still my favourite past time) can conjure
a multitude of intriguing imagery. Simplicity is a powerful tool. I work primarily with
photographic imagery but I believe nothing should be restricted and I welcome all
forms of mixed media, from paint, resin, liquid light or even a heartfelt scribble.
Things that take a photograph to the next level of originality and question its
reproducibility and the action of the artists hand. Extending beyond the parameters
of straight photography and exploring arts endless cycle of representations of
representations and allowing our ‘reality’ to become somewhat blurred.

Opening-Thursday 29th April at 5.30 at Bounty.
