The Great Coromandel Arts Tour 2010
3 weekends of art and music on the Coromandel.
Coromandel is home to some of the finest artists and crafts people in the country.
For three weekends in May, over 25 artists open their studios and invite you in.
Discover hidden pockets of creativity in the northern Coromandel. Visit the studios and meet the people behind some of our most exciting artworks.
2010 will be the 5th annual Great Coromandel Arts Tour, and this year it is shaping up to be one of the most exciting tours yet, with great artists, live music every weekend, art workshops, film and moving image, and special exhibitions taking place during the tour.
The Arts Tour is a great art adventure through the northern Coromandel, you will visit colorful and productive art studios, meet the artists, experience the creative process, and have a chance to purchase work direct before it goes to galleries.
The Tour will begin on Friday, April 30th, with the LOUD! Art Auction. Each of our participating artists will submit one piece of work to be auctioned live. This is a fun event; in 2009 the bidding was lively and exciting, with some big bids going down.
