The drive from Auckland, Hamilton or Tauranga to Coromandel is 2.5 hours, the last hour of your trip is on the beautiful Thames coast road, to Coromandel Town itself.
HOW TO AROUND
You can self-drive your own car or hire a car from G.A.S. in the main street. Each weekend we will be running an Art Bus it departs from Hauraki House Gallery at 11 am and returns in time to meet the ferry departing for Auckland. This is a great option for those interested in a day trip. Bus tickets begin at $40 and will reduce as the bus fills up, if you are the first to pay you will be refunded to meet the equal cost.
