In 2007, after 25 years in the glass and glazing industry, I discovered the art of fusing and slumping.
I create functional art pieces from recycled window glass.


Due to cirumstances outside our control, Mike will be unavailable on the first weekend.
so on the weekend of April 30 - May 2nd, His studio will be attended by Stephanie Collin, weaver:

Stephenie set up a home studio and lived with her two children in the old miners cottage in Lillis Lane during the 1990's. She now works from her studio in Waiuku, and lives on the Awhitu Peninsula.
She has been weaving since 1987 and has a specific interest in tapestry weaving. Visitors are invited to come and see how the fibre is made and try their hand at spinning the raw materials. There will also be looms set up for you to have a go yourself.
