Judy Rowe

Judy started painting in watercolours about 12 years ago.  She did several courses when she first began at Whitecliffe College and Te Tuhi Arts Centre at Pakuranga with Barbara Templeton.  Barbara's encouragement pushed Judy into her first exhibition and since then she has exhibited on many occasions.  She is also encouraged by her Mother, Ann McNair, who paints in Coromandel and they often paint and exhibit together.   About six years ago, Judy started to move into acrylic paintings on canvas and found this medium suited her desire to express the things she saw around her through her painting.  Judy has a passion for colour and texture in visual art and loves to experiment with expressing ideas with different types of texture and mixed media.
